FAQ

If you can't find your answer here, please contact us.

I see your works are sold out at the moment. How can I purchase a pot?

Pottery is a slow medium and artists create artworks for all sorts of projects across a year including non-commercial activities.

Small pottery will often sell very quickly in our gallery intourist season in the NT, and not make it to our online store. When they do, they often sell within minutes.

We will post about 'drops' of small pots to our online store fromtime to time, usually at the beginning and end of the year when we are lessbusy with art fairs and visits to us in Hermannsburg slow down.

We will post to our Instagram when they become available. Please follow us @hermannsburgpotters on Instagram to stay updated.

In addition to this, each year we participate in a number of public facing events and exhibitions where you can purchase work. Upcoming for 2022 we have;
- Desert Mob2022, Araluen Art Centre, Alice Springs - opening Sept 8th 2022
- Footy Show, Watch This Space, Alice Springs - opening Sept 10th2022
- Tarnanthi Art Fair 2022, ONLINE, 14-17th October
- Rona Rubuntja's solo exhibition, Sabbia Gallery, Sydney, NOV 2022
- A group show with Alcaston Gallery, Melbourne, DEC 2022

Please do not get in touch about purchasing a smaller work, as we cannot help you outside of the avenues mentioned above.

Do you use local clay?

We primarily use a commercial terracotta, usually Bennetts clay which is from South Australia.

Can I commission a piece?

No, we do not offer private commissions. If you are seeking a major commission, please get in touch. Major works are possible to commission as they are of a high price point, making it financially viable to the artists to fit in their busy schedules.
