This work depicts the birds we see around Ntaria. We used to see a lot more of these birds, growing up, but less and less now, due to feral animals causing them to become extinct. All these birds continue to have a special place in the hearts and minds of the Arrernte, and we will continue to depict the birds through our art, even if they eventually become extinct.
